Vision Control has now expanded its lighting program even further with the Vicolux FDL and FAL series, particularly reliable and mechanically robust lighting components for Machine Vision. The new type of construction provides better protection for the lighting components. This leads to better defined time characteristics for the lighting, to uniform lighting characteristics and to increased protection against potentially destructive electrical influences. Various operating modes simplify integration into any Machine Vision system desired. This includes, amongst others, fixed continuous lighting, adjustable, pulsed or flashed lighting as well as lighting control via control voltage or via PLC signal.
"The wide range of input voltages possible for the new lighting series allow them to be operated via non-stable electrical networks, so that external power supplies are unnecessary and costly mechanical mounting of transformers into the electrical control cabinet are not required. Thanks to more solid mounting possibilities in the lighting units, expensive additional mounting construction does not apply. The thermally balanced design avoids any overheating which could lead to a reduction in the service life of the units, this also applies to continuous operation. The result of all this is an extremely low brightness drift. The new Vicolux FDL and FAL lighting series can be used as directed lighting or as backlighting. They are available in a range of wavelengths (blue, green, red, white and IR) and also in a range of sizes (29 x 35, 46 x 46, 70 x 92, 115 x 182 and 182 x 242 mm). \r\n \r\nThe extremely slim design and the homogeneity of the illumination of the new lighting series simplifies integration into Machine Vision systems enabling a long-lived, and hence cost saving, assembly.
