VC4458 from Vision Components 

With a maximum frame rate of 200 fps (400 fps in binning mode) and an integrated 1 GHz (8,000 MIPS) DSP from Texas Instruments, the VC4458 is the most powerful Smart Camera from Vision Components’ new VC44xx series. 

The VC4458 is particularly suited for high-speed applications such as controlling register marks in the printing industry. Its 1/3” CCD sensor provides a 640 x 480 pixel resolution. The standard equipment includes an RS232 and an Ethernet interface, an external trigger input that enables jitter-free image recording even at high reading frequencies and a high-speed encoder interface. Additionally, the rugged Smart Cameras feature an SVGA video output, four digital PLC inputs and four digital outputs. They come with 4 MB Flash EPROM and 64 MB SDRAM for program and picture storage, which can be optionally extended by a 512 MB SD card.
