8 Megapixel Camera available with 2 Gigabit Interface SVSVISTEK presents for the first time at the VISION show 2009 in Stuttgart the new developed 8 Megapixel camera with GigE technology. The svs8050 breaks through the current limit of only one Gigabit bandwidth in order to take advantage of the 4 tap CCD sensor. The output features 2 RJ45 connectors and transmits 2 Gigabit/ sec via 2 cables. ![]() This works in compliance with the „Link Aggregation Group (LAG“)“ convention. The progressivescan camera works with an Interline Transfer CCDsensor from Kodak™ with a diagonal of 22.66 mm. By using tw o Ethernet connections the camera achieves a max. frame rate of 20 fps with the full resolution of 3320 x 2496 pixels. In the partialscan mode (reduced number of lines) or while using AOIs, images with fewer lines can be read out at a considerably higher speed. Furthermore binning with 2 x 2 pixels is also possible. The camera is available as monochrome or colour version. It also can be used in 1 or 2 tap mode. SVSVISTEK’s camera configuration software SVCapture allows the user to adjust various camera parameters such as „freerunning“ or „triggered“. A SDK and the provided driver permit an easy integration into userspecific machine vision systems. In addition I/Os are provided which can be controlled via GigE Interface. Functions like Autogain or Autoexposure and Multicasting are provided in the SDK and Driver for Windows XP 32 and 64 bit as well as for Linux. As optical interface a M42 thread, Cmount or an FMount adapter can be provided. Due to its small housing size of only 70 x 71 x 50.5mm this camera can easily be used under confined conditions. Areas of application are e.g. print inspection, PCB inspection, semiconductor industry or optical metrology.
