WATERLOO, ON, April 19 /CNW/ - DALSA Corporation's (TSE: DSA - news) Semiconductor Wafer Foundry has received Motorola, Inc.'s (NYSE:MOT - news) Semiconductor Products Sector 2001 Foundry Gold Performance Award. DALSA's foundry was selected based on a comprehensive set of criteria, which included over 40 elements weighted in five categories: quality, cost, delivery, service and technology. The Bromont, Quebec foundry demonstrated exceptional performance in on-time delivery, process improvement and systems implementation in coordination with Motorola's initiatives for seamless supplier interactions. In particular, DALSA's wafer foundry achieved 100% on-time delivery in both its four and six inch lines. Jim Duckworth, Vice President and Director Supply Management and Ron Boyd, Director of External Foundries for MOTOROLA Semiconductor Products Sector recently presented the award to Ralf Brooks, President of DALSA Semiconductor, at a ceremony in Austin, Texas.
