The new, extremely bright vicolux® SPOT50 series spotlighting from Vision & Control sets new standards for Machine Vision. Vicolux® SPOT50 series spotlighting is particularly suitable for lighting tasks requiring large distances between the lighting and test object. With light intensities of over 300,000 lux, entirely new lighting concepts become feasible. The adjustable and lockable focusing optics create spot diameters of from 50 to 200 mm. If required, they can also be flashed over an ultra-short interval within the microsecond range.
Saturated and tightly collimated light. This succinct description is
especially appropriate for the new vicolux® SPOT50 lighting series.
With light intensities of over 300,000 lux, completely new lighting
concepts become possible. Adjustable and lockable focusing optics
produce spot diameters of from 50 to 200 mm which can be produced in
all the typical wavelengths available for LEDs.
SPOT50 lighting can work over large lighting distances, such as are
those typical in robotics for example. Also, the new lighting is
suitable for applications in which cramped conditions hinder the use of
lighting from short distances.
The newest LED generation, now becoming available, is able to work
nearer the absolute power limit due to its 'electrically constructive'
temperature management. Here, it is protected by an integrated
controller which can tolerate a wide range of input voltages, from 10
to 30 V DC (false polarity protected), and which also manages the
mechanical or electrical brightness adjustment. In the 'power flash'
version, flash times of between 1 and 100 µs are achieved, at a maximum
flash rate of 100 cycles per second, whereby even the fastest processes
can be 'frozen'. The flash controller is already 'on board', which
means that flash operation involves no extra costs and requires no
additional control units.
SPOT50 lighting can be accurately and securely set up and aligned due
to robust and well-designed mounting options. Mounting is via M6 screws
or via the Montech aluminium profile mounting system. For use in
particularly tough conditions, the lighting optics may be safeguarded
by use of a protective plate that screws onto the filter thread of the
unit.
Lighting components from Vision & Control are ideal automation
components for mechanical and plant engineers as well as for automation
technicians. They are simple to install and handle and are available
world-wide as standard components.
