Ettlingen – At this year's VISION trade fair, image processing expert Vision Components will present the intelligent camera VC4058. The new model fea-tures a 400 MHz (3,200 MIPS) processor and has a maximum frame rate of 242 fps (484 fps in binning mode).
Its 1/3" CCD sensor provides a 640 x 480 pixel resolution. The VC4058 comes with 4 MB Flash EPROM and 32 MB DRAM for program and data storage, which can be extended by a 128 MB SD card. The camera is equipped with an RS232 and an Ethernet inter-face and also features an external trigger input which enables jitter-free image recording even at high reading frequencies. Four digital inputs and four outputs facilitate the connection to PLCs, and an integrated SVGA video output allows users to connect an external test monitor. Just like all other camera models from Vision Components, the VC4058 has a robust housing and is suitable for rugged industrial environments.
