Obersulm hat auf der VISION 2011 in Stuttgart eine neue Kamerafamilie mit USB 3.0 Anschluss vorgestellt. In die Modellreihe USB 3.0 uEye CP floss konsequent das in mehr als 9 Jahren in der Entwicklung und dem Vertrieb von USB-Kameras gewonnene Know-How ein.

The new uEye software 3.90 features include sequence mode for e2v sensors, pulse width modulation (PWM), and boot booster.
The e2v sensor sequence mode allows to capture high dynamic image sequences by using multiple exposures or to capture different AOIs automatically. Parameter sets comprising AOI position, exposure time, and gain can be set individually for each image in the sequence. The sensor applies each parameter set automatically, allowing for faster and more accurate recordings.

Die Zahl der Mitarbeiter beim Industriekamera-Hersteller IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH in Obersulm ist jetzt dreistellig: Die Geschäftsführer Jürgen Hartmann und Torsten Wiesinger begrüßten am ersten September den einhundertsten Mitarbeiter.
Damit setzt IDS den stetigen Wachstumskurs fort: Innerhalb von nur 12 Monaten ist die Anzahl der Mitarbeiter um beachtliche 25% gestiegen. Das Unternehmen erreicht somit einen neuen Meilenstein in der 14-jährigen Unternehmensgeschichte.

The ME features a 90° angled lens flange and is perfect for use within robotics and a great variety of machine applications. Available with CCD and CMOS sensors, the ME series offers a range of resolutions from VGA to 5 Megapixel as well as an HDR sensor.

IP65/67 design, high interference immunity and industry-standard connection technology-the IDS uEye RE series cameras score where other models meet their limits. The Swabian manufacturer has expanded its robust line of cameras to 56 models and now offers versions with GigE or USB connections, with CCD or CMOS sensors and with VGA resolutions of up to 10 Megapixels.
The 1240RE and 5240RE models already feature the latest generation ½ inch 1.3 Megapixel Global Shutter CMOS sensor. Their high light sensitivity and color fidelity allow for very good, contrast-rich images even in difficult ambient conditions.
All 56 uEye RE models meet the IP65 and IP67 specifications and are thus consistently designed for industrial manufacturing and outdoor applications. The carefully sealed housing and a screw-on lens barrel protect the precision electronics from dust particles and liquid. The Ethernet and USB ports, the trigger inputs and the digital output can also be screwed on and are sealed. In addition, the digital I/O connections are optically decoupled, which further enhances the cameras‘ interference immunity.

Machine Vision camera manufacturer, IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH from Obersulm, Germany continues to grow. In the first six months of 2011, sales climbed to nearly 13 million Euros and are hence 36% above the figures for the comparable period in 2010. This has been the best result in the company’s successful 14-year history. Around 30,000 cameras were sold in the first six months, 10,000 more than in the first half of the previous year. While sale numbers of USB cameras increased by about 42% the number of sold cameras with GigE interface has almost doubled.
