SVS-VISTEK bietet mit der svs16000 jetzt auch eine 16-Megapixel-Kamera aus eigener Entwicklung an. Diese Progressiv-Scan-Kamera mit einer Auflösung von 4904 x 3380 Pixeln benutzt einen Interline-Transfer-CCD von Kodak™. Die Sensordiagonale beträgt 43,3 mm, was bei Fotokameras dem Kleinbildformat entspricht. Die Kamera liefert in der „Ultra-HighSpeed“-Version bis zu 3 Vollbilder/Sekunde; im variablen „Partial-Scan“-Betrieb können Teilbilder mit deutlich höherer Geschwindigkeit ausgelesen werden. Binning mit 2 x 2 Pixeln ist ebenso möglich. Die bewährte Steuersoftware "ConvenientCam" erlaubt dem Benutzer, verschiedene Kamera-Parameter zu verändern wie z.B. Gain, Offset oder Belichtungszeit; unterschiedliche Betriebsarten, wie „Freilaufend“ oder „Getriggert“ erlauben die anwendungsspezifische Integration in Bildverarbeitungssysteme.

At last year's VISION trade show, Vision Components showcased the capabilities of Smart Cameras by means of a foosball competition which attracted many visitors. A modified foosball table with only two goalkeepers was employed, one of which could be used to aim at the opposite goal.
